We worked with House2Home in finding a rental property and found it to be a fairly positive experience. I think the thing I liked the most was the ease of communication. I always felt like we could get a hold of them at all times of the day and if not, our message, whether it was email, text, or call was answered in a very timely fashion. Our initial plan was to purchase a home but in the end we wanted to rent and that put the time to secure a rental very tight. House2Home had a good group of professionals that worked extra hard to get us in that rental house by the agreed deadline. Odds and ends were needed after move in but coordination with the work team worked out great. In the end it was a positive experience and we are happy with our choice to rent with House2Home.

After recently settling my divorce, I was looking for a stable home from myself and sons. I researched rental homes in the SE quadrant of Cedar Rapids and discovered 4017 Soutter Ave SE. This home was a very good fit for our needs, from not only the financial considerations, but location and size as well. Daniel was willing to negotiate the lease to secure the home until my current lease expired, and at a fair and reasonable price. Refurbished and gleaming hardwood floors, new carpeting and paint, new kitchen cabinets, counter tops and appliances greeted us on moving day. The finished basement, in my son's words, is 'awesome'! Daniel has been responsive to repair needs, and they are typically done promptly. When Daniel is not available for emergency repairs, Eagle Property Management is his back up, and, in this "crisis", the furnace repair was completed the same day. Overall, Daniel has been fair and reasonable to deal with, and we have a positive working relationship.

There is really no other way to put this. My buyers, the Edwards, came to Skogman looking to purchase a home and had 20% to contribute to the purchase. We sat down with a mortgage lender thinking that this was going to be a no-brainer. The buyers had some challenges on their credit report that kept them from being approved, and needless to say, they were heavily disappointed. That’s where Daniel came in. My broker had previously worked with Daniel just for these special circumstances, so she arranged a meeting with to discuss his purchase program. My buyers disappointment suddenly turned to excitement as we talked about the homes we would look at! My name is Patrick and I am a part-time professional photographer and full time Windows developer. I have been involved in Real Estate photography for about 7 years now. I began taking before and after shots for a Home Stager in Cedar Rapids who in 2011 introduced me to Dan Tardy.
The before shots usually show a house in some stage of distress. The house also often comes with very dated decor, colors and fixtures. I have on several occasions photographed a house from initial purchase, through intermediate remodeling and finally to finished product. The transformation is always amazing. Take a nearly un-sellable house and invest in some well thought-out remodeling and you end up with a house that's the showcase home of the neighborhood.
